Carbon fiber
Bambu Lab ASA-CF
Manufactured by Bambu Lab
What it is for
ASA-CF combines ASA with carbon fiber for stiff outdoor parts. Bambu recommends it for large models and protective housings exposed to weather. Its matte finish and reduced warping compared with unfilled ASA can matter when parts need to fit together.
Printing requirements
Bambu recommends 250 to 280°C at the nozzle and a 80 to 100°C bed with adhesive. Use an enclosed printer and a hardened steel nozzle. A 0.2 mm nozzle is incompatible. AMS feeding is supported, but AMS lite is not. Dry the filament at 80°C for eight hours before use.
Choosing this material
Weather resistance is a material property; the finished part still needs a design suitable for its load and exposure.
