Aero
Bambu Lab ASA Aero
Manufactured by Bambu Lab
What it is for
ASA Aero is a foaming filament for lightweight outdoor models, including RC aircraft. Temperature and flow settings control expansion, so the spool weight does not translate directly into the density of a printed part. Bambu describes water and UV resistance as reasons to choose it for outdoor use.
Printing requirements
Bambu recommends 240 to 280°C at the nozzle and a 80 to 90°C bed with adhesive. An enclosed printer is required. AMS is supported; AMS lite is not. Dry at 80°C for eight hours. Use the manufacturer’s foaming profile and check the resulting density before committing to an aircraft part.
Choosing this material
Changing temperature, speed, wall thickness or flow changes expansion. Calibrate with the intended model settings.
