Glass fiber
Bambu Lab PA6-GF
Manufactured by Bambu Lab
What it is for
PA6-GF is glass-fiber-reinforced nylon for rigid engineering parts. Bambu describes resistance to oils and chemicals and improved dimensional stability compared with unfilled nylon. It also notes that printed parts become tougher after exposure to moisture.
Printing requirements
Bambu recommends 260 to 290°C at the nozzle and a 80 to 100°C bed with adhesive. Use a hardened steel nozzle, preferably 0.6 mm. Stainless steel and 0.2 mm nozzles are unsuitable choices. AMS is supported; AMS lite is not. Dry at 80°C for eight to twelve hours and keep the filament sealed with desiccant while printing.
Choosing this material
Bambu lists Yellow, Lime and Brown as discontinued. Their color references remain visible, with buying buttons removed.
