Print Settings That Work
255 °C nozzle, 70 °C bed, cooling around 40%. At high speed climb towards 265 °C; at 60 mm/s drop back to 245 °C to reduce stringing.
The hot end of that range is higher than most PETG and it matters. Running Rapid PETG at 235 °C on a fast printer produces the classic symptoms of under-extrusion: gaps in top layers, weak walls, and a rough surface that looks like a moisture problem but is not.
Dry the spool if it has been open. Slow the outer wall to 30-40 mm/s regardless of how fast the infill runs, because PETG bulges at corners under pressure.
Print Quality
Layer adhesion is excellent and matches any PETG on this site. Parts deform and whiten before failing, which is the whole reason to print PETG for brackets.
Surfaces are glossy and even. Diameter consistency lives up to the quoted figure better than the price suggests: long prints do not band, and flow stays steady from the start of a spool to the end.
Bed adhesion on textured PEI is strong without glue. The cardboard spool is recyclable and light, with the usual small risk of a rough flange catching the loose end.
Where It Falls Short
Stringing at the top of the temperature range is noticeable, and the material invites you to print hot. Tuning retraction properly is more necessary here than with a cooler-running PETG.
Colour range is narrower than SUNLU or Overture, and batch consistency is good rather than premium. There is no RFID or ecosystem convenience.
Verdict
For functional parts on a fast printer, ELEGOO Rapid PETG is the best value on this site. Buy Bambu PETG HF if you want the last ten percent of consistency and use an AMS, and plain SUNLU PETG if your printer is slow enough that flow rate never limits you.

Can PETG really print at 600 mm/s?
The filament can supply melt at high flow rates, but your hotend and cooling decide the real limit. Treat 600 mm/s as a marketing ceiling and expect genuinely good results in the 150-300 mm/s range on a capable machine.
Does Rapid PETG need drying?
Yes, like all PETG. 60-65 °C for 6-8 hours restores a stringy spool. The higher print temperatures this material invites make wet filament string worse, not better.
