Print Settings That Work
215 °C nozzle and 55 °C bed covers most cases. If you print fast, climb towards 220 °C: high-flow claims on any filament assume you give the melt enough heat to keep up, and the most common complaint about PLA+ at speed is under-extrusion caused by running it at plain-PLA temperatures.
Retraction around 1 mm on direct drive is enough. Cooling stays high. The material is slightly less prone to stringing than standard PLA, which makes it forgiving on models with lots of travel moves.
Print Quality
Surfaces come out with a modest gloss and even colour. Diameter tolerance is quoted at ±0.02 mm and the spools behave as if that is roughly true; long single-wall prints do not show the periodic banding that gives away a loose tolerance.
The toughness is real and easy to test: print a thin hook in plain PLA and in PLA+, then bend both. The PLA snaps at a layer line, the PLA+ deforms first. That property makes it a better choice for clips, hinges, phone stands, and anything that lives in a bag.
Bed adhesion is good and release is clean once the plate cools. Warping is a non-issue.
Where It Falls Short
Heat resistance is still PLA heat resistance. The additives do not raise the glass transition meaningfully, so a part in a hot car still sags.
Colour consistency between batches is average, and the matte and silk variants of the same line behave differently enough that the settings you dialled in for black will not be perfect for silk copper. Some spools also arrive wound tightly enough that the last hundred grams tries to pull the loose end under a wrap.
Verdict
For most people printing most things, SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 hits the best balance on this site between price, toughness, and speed. Buy it as a default working filament, keep a spool of Prusament for parts that must measure right, and move to PETG when heat or outdoor exposure enters the picture.
