Quick Summary

Flexible filament used to mean slowing the printer to a crawl. Bambu’s high-flow TPU 95A is the version that mostly fixes that: it melts fast enough to print at speeds that would have jammed a standard TPU, and on current hardware it feeds through the AMS. Print temperature sits around 230 °C, and drying at 70 °C for 8 hours is not optional.

230 °C nozzle, bed anywhere from 30-60 °C depending on plate. Wall speed under 80 mm/s is the guidance that matters; the “3x faster” claim is real relative to ordinary TPU but the failure mode of pushing too hard is a clog that takes the hotend apart to clear.

Keep retraction minimal, near zero on direct drive. Straighten the filament path. Print from a dry box or dry the spool first, because TPU absorbs water fast enough to ruin a print that started fine.

Cooling around 40-50% holds overhangs without hurting layer bonding, which is excellent regardless.

Layer adhesion in TPU is exceptional and this is no exception; finished parts tear rather than delaminate. Surfaces are matte with a slightly grippy feel. Overhangs and bridges are better than standard TPU because the material sets quickly after extrusion.

Bed adhesion is strong to the point of inconvenience on smooth plates. Use textured PEI and let the plate cool fully before removing thin parts.

Stringing exists, as it always does when you cannot retract properly. Expect a light cobweb between towers and plan on a quick pass with a heat gun.

Where It Falls Short

Moisture sensitivity is the practical burden. Storage matters more than settings, and a spool left out over a humid weekend needs a full dry cycle before it will print well again.

The price is a clear step above budget TPU, and away from a Bambu printer with an AMS you are paying for speed alone. Very small features and sharp corners still round off; that is TPU, not this spool.

Verdict

For gaskets, straps, bumpers, and phone cases printed on a modern fast machine, TPU 95A HF removes most of the pain flexible filament used to involve. Buy PolyFlex if you want the same softness for less on a slower printer, and only go softer than 95A when the part genuinely needs it.
