Print Settings
eSUN’s datasheet points to a 205–225 °C nozzle and a 45–60 °C bed. 215 °C is a dependable middle-of-the-road setting; a heated bed is optional but 50–60 °C tightens up the first layer. The filament holds 1.75 mm to a ±0.03 mm tolerance — looser than premium PLA but perfectly consistent for everyday work.
Print Quality
Layer adhesion is the standout. Where standard PLA can snap cleanly along layers, PLA+ parts take a real beating, surviving drops and repeated bending. Stringing is moderate and clears with a normal retraction. It is low-odor and low-warp, so it runs happily without an enclosure on an open-frame printer.
Where It Falls Short
It is not the most dimensionally precise filament — for tight-fit assemblies, premium PLA measures more consistently. The finish is standard glossy PLA, so if you want a matte look you will want a dedicated matte filament instead.
Verdict
If you print one filament for everything, eSUN PLA+ is a superb default: tough, easy, cheap, and forgiving. Step up to a tighter-tolerance PLA only when precision matters, or to PETG when you need heat resistance.
